Boardly Terms of Service

Effective date: 14 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Low Weng Chee ("Boardly", "we", "us") about your use of the Boardly app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Boardly

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age for digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Boardly. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Boardly only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

• You need an account to play. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything that happens under your account.
• Choose a username that is not offensive, does not impersonate someone else, and does not infringe anyone's rights. We may change or reclaim a username that breaks these rules.
• Boardly does not currently offer password recovery. If you lose your password, you may lose access to your account.
• You can delete your account at any time under Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

3. Rules of conduct

When using Boardly, you agree not to:

• use a username or profile picture that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• harass, threaten or abuse other players;
• cheat, exploit bugs, use automated tools or bots, or interfere with other players' games;
• attempt to access other people's accounts or our systems without permission;
• reverse engineer, copy or resell the Service, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms;
• use the Service for anything unlawful.

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, that break these rules.
Reporting. To report a player or content, contact wclow0420@gmail.com. We review reports and act on them promptly.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add to Boardly, such as your username and profile picture. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display and transmit that content for the purpose of running the Service, for as long as it remains on the Service.

You confirm that you have the right to use any content you upload.

5. Coins and cosmetic items

• Boardly includes virtual coins and cosmetic items such as profile borders. Coins are earned by playing and through in-app rewards.
• Coins and cosmetic items have no real-world value. They cannot be bought with, exchanged for, or redeemed for money, goods or services, and they cannot be transferred or sold.
• Boardly's games are for entertainment only. They do not offer real-money gambling or an opportunity to win real money or prizes.
• You receive a limited licence to use coins and items within the Service; you do not own them. We may change, rebalance or remove them at any time, and they are lost if your account is deleted or closed.

6. Our content

The Service, including its software, design, artwork, game implementations, names and logos, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment, in line with these terms.

7. Changes and availability

We are always working on Boardly. We may add, change or remove games and features, and we may suspend or stop the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. Games in progress may be interrupted by maintenance, updates or outages.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use puts other players or the Service at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that your progress, coins or items will be preserved.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, coins or items, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to USD 50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, or removes consumer rights you have under that law.

11. App stores

If you downloaded Boardly from the Apple App Store or Google Play:

• these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and we alone are responsible for the Service;
• Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service;
• your use of the app must also follow the applicable store's terms;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you in relation to the iOS app.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. It forms part of these terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will update the effective date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where the law of the place you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
